Viswamithra: Vishwamitra is a great sage, Saptarishis and wise guru
Dasharatha: King of Kosala, Rama’s father
Vishnu : Principal god of Hindu, preserver and protector of the universe.
Janak: Sita’s father
Kaikeyi: Kaikeyi was one of the wives of King Dasharatha and the mother of Bharata
Lakshmana: Rama’s brother, who follows him into his exile in the forest
Bharatha: Bharata was the younger half-brother of Rama.
Soorpanka: Ravana’s sister.
Ravana: An evil demon that tries to conquer Rama, captures Sita
Mareecha: Ravana’s uncle (a demon trying to become good)
Jatayu: An eagle. Tells Rama and Lakshama where Ravana took Sita.
Sugreeva: A leader of the monkey clan. Sugriva was the younger brother of Vali, whom he succeeded as ruler of the vanara kingdom of Kishkindha.
Vali: Sugreeva’s brother in form of a mighty monkey. Has unique power to drain the opponent of half their energy. Vali(also Bali) was king of Kishkindha, a son of indra and the elder brother of Sugreev.
Hanuman: Monkey God is known for Loyalty, service and strength. Came to help Rama, gathered all forests’ monkeys to build the bridge.
Shatrughna: Was the youngest son of King Dasharath. He was born to queen Sumitra
