Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is the crown jewel of modern Indian scientific achievements. Its a leading government agency engaged in space exploration, performing space-related tasks and developing related technology. Around 1962, in the government circle, the discussions about space research in India started and ISRO was formally established in 1969. It has launching capabilities, deploy cryogenic engines, and extraterrestrial missions and operates fleets of artificial satellites. With these capabilities, ISRO is one of the top 6 agencies across the world.
‘Aryabhata’ was the first satellite that ISRO made in 1975 and it was launched by the USSR. By 1980, ISRO achieved the capability of launching the satellites on their own. Many satellites launched by ISRO brought communication revolution in India. Now, ISRO has successfully sent missions on the Moon and the Mars.
